The Delta Engine allows you to develop applications and especially games for all major AppStore platforms completely under Windows with .NET by using your favorite tools. The engine and all sample games are free to use on Windows, Open Source and written in 100% .NET. If you plan to deploy your application on other platforms a
Marketplace license is required!
The Delta Engine currently supports Windows, iPad, iPhone, Android, Android Tablets, and Windows Phone 7 as well as
more platforms in the future (next up are Xbox 360, Linux, MacOS, the Web).
We are still early in beta, but have been writing games ourselves and so have some other selected companies for a year now. The engine allows writing both simple (see Tutorials) and complex games (see Showcases). We are always focused on making the game developers life easier and we listen to your feedback (see our Forum)! Also note that we are currently a programmer focused engine (on purpose), our tools are not artist focused yet.
The public beta v0.9.0 was released at the 10. October! Each month a
new beta was released (v0.9.1, v0.9.2, etc.) until v0.9.5, but currently more releases are on hold. There are still
nightly releases available whenever changes in the public repository. More details can be found at our
Wiki.Roadmap.
2012-01-07: SoulCraft (written with the DeltaEngine) has been released on Android.
